The Amelia Island Tourist Development Council is funded by a three percent (3%) tourist tax. Those accommodations on Amelia Island rented for less than six months are subject to the tax.

The Nassau County Tax Collector and the Nassau County Clerk of Courts each receive 1.5% of the tax collected as an administrative fee. The remaining funding is allocated as provided by the Amelia Island Tourist Development Plan.
